Summer Takeover: The Big Picture

A few weeks ago, I visited the Ground Zero Facebook page to look at pictures from last summer's middle school event, Summer Takeover. I have to tell you

I was totally moved by the faces of these students having the time of their lives learning about Jesus, connecting with new friends, and literally laughing, cheering, yelling and singing to their heart's content.

Here is what I mean...

Isn't it incredible to see them having such a great time? To see the connections they're making? To see Jesus transforming their lives?

Summer Takeover is back again on July 20-23 and it's going to be by far the biggest and most outrageously fantastic event of the year. For four nights, hundreds and hundreds of middle school students are going to TAKE OVER the Lino Lakes campus and learn more about what it means to trust in Jesus. Our theme this year comes from Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart;do not depend on your own understanding.Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." Each person on the Student Ministries Team has experienced how much better life can be when you trust Jesus, especially in the midst of difficult and challenging seasons of life.

We believe students will navigate middle school, high school and really, all of lifeso much better if they learn now how to trust Jesus with everything.

Sound exciting and motivating and super incredible? It absolutely will be! Here are some ways you can get involved.

1. INVITE

Tell every middle school student you know about Summer Takeover, and invite them to be a part of it. Students can come any night or all four nights, AND we are busing from all of our Eagle Brook campuses each night. Check out all the details and register at eaglebrookchurch.com/summertakeover.

2. PRAY

Pray for the students, for the volunteers, for all the details going into the event, for the staff. We are asking God to help students have loads of fun that week and connect with each other, the amazing volunteers, and ultimately Jesus. Please pray with us!
