Eagle Brook Church Student Mission Trip

What Is Big City?

We're combining all of the things you love about Revolution—community, connecting the Bible to our real lives, and worshipping Jesus—with daily, inner-city serving opportunities. You’ll participate in community outreach projects, kids and youth day-camps, and food and clothing distribution.

Big City is an invitation to all high school students to learn the value of love. It is an opportunity to learn to love people who have different stories, backgrounds, and opinions. Love leads everything we do on this trip from our times of worship and teaching to serving. Big City is your chance to see what can happen in you, and through you, when we come together and live out the kind of life that Jesus talked about. A life where we let love take the lead. We can’t wait to see you this year in Dallas for Big City 2020!

Find out what to expect on Big City, how to fundraise, hear from students who’ve gone before, and get your questions answered.

Here's the Fine Print.

Parent Involvement

Your student needs your help to prepare for this trip. Get them to meetings. Keep them accountable for fundraising. Pray with them. We will send regular emails to keep you in the loop about what is coming and how you can support your student.

How We'll Serve

We work with a ministry called Cutting Edge, which connects us with local churches and outreach ministries throughout Dallas. Students will be in small teams of 15-30 and work directly with those ministries. Each team may participate in various things throughout the week like community outreach, work projects, kids day camps, and food and clothing distribution.

Training Meetings

After the info meeting, there will be monthly meetings with your campus team to talk about fundraising, trip logistics, spiritual preparedness, and team building. We will send out a detailed calendar of these meetings on Feb. 1 when applications are due, but for now, pencil in these dates: Feb. 16, Mar. 15, Apr. 19, May 17.

Trip Safety

We do our best to ensure that our students are safe while serving in Dallas. Each church and organization that we serve with is vetted and asked to always have a representative with us when we are out in the community. Our facilities at our host site are locked and secure. We do our best to always maintain a safe adult to student ratio throughout the week.

How to Fundraise

There are a lot of things to know about fundraising. Check out some of the guidelines below to help get you on your way.
